"THE SHINING"- opening scene analysis

In this video, you will see the analysis of the opening scene of the shining. I analyzed this opening scene because this movie is one of the classics i. the horror movie genre and even if it is now seen as an old movie it is still found scary for most of the audiences. this shows that at the time with the little resources they had (they did not have all of the special effects the horror movie creators have nowadays) they still did a great job into showing the horror stereotype from which I want to take inspiration. I also wanted to test myself to see if I could recognize the common shots they use in horror that are seen in this movie, this has helped me how they can be used in real life and helped me think about how I will want to use some of them in my movie ( I really liked the tilted shot at the beginning as it gave a spiritual ghostly movement to the camera.)
